Application:

1. Mainly used as additives for special metallurgy, also used in scientific research experiments.

2. Applications include its pink Er3+ ion, which has optical fluorescent properties and is particularly useful in certain laser applications. Erbium-doped glasses or crystals can be used as optical amplification media in which the Er3+ ion is optically pumped at approximately 980 or 1480 nm and then emits optical radiation as an excited emission at 1530 nm.
