Applications:

1. Aluminium-scandium alloy (Al-Sc) made of scandium and aluminium has the advantages of low density (Sc is 3.0g/cm3, Al is 2.7g/cm3, high strength, high hardness, good plasticity, corrosion resistance and high thermal stability.

2. Scandium in the alloy mainly plays the role of metamorphism and grain refinement, so that the generation of a new phase of Al3Sc type and presents the characteristics of excellent performance.

3. With pure Sc2O3 ≥ 99.9% added to gadolinium gallium garnet (GGG) can be made into gadolinium gallium scandium garnet (GGSG), which is composed of Gd3Sc2Ga3O12 type.

4. Pure Sc2O3 can be used as colour TV tube cathode electron gun oxidation cathode activator, the effect is good.
