Scandium sputtering targets have the same properties as the raw material. It has a melting point of 1814°C and a boiling point of 3103°C. It is a silvery-white transition metal and is usually classified as a non-lanthanide rare earth element.
Applications:
Used in thin film coatings, CD-ROMs, decorations, flat panel displays, functional coatings, and other optical information storage space industries, glass coating industries (e.g., automotive and architectural glass), and optical communications.
